Are you passionate about improving oral health outcomes for our rangatahi (adolescents) in the Auckland region? Auckland Regional Dental Service (ARDS) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as an Adolescent Oral Health Coordinator team.
About Us: The Auckland Regional Dental Service (ARDS) provides oral health services to approximately 285,000 preschool and school aged children, up to and including school year eight students, living across metropolitan Auckland.
- The Role: As an Adolescent Oral Health Coordinator, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to improve oral health outcomes for adolescents. Your responsibilities will include:

- Collaborating with community groups to raise awareness of oral health issues among high-needs groups, particularly Māori and Pacific communities.
- Acting as a navigator ensures adolescents are linked with dental providers and attending appointments.
- Providing health promotion initiatives tailored to the needs of adolescents, with a focus on prevention and early intervention.
- As part of the ARDS adolescent coordinator team, assisting with administrative tasks such as maintaining public lists, facilitating Year 8 transfers, and responding to inquiries about our adolescent services.
- Two part-time positions across South and North/West Auckland.

Requirements: We are looking for someone who possesses:

- A relevant degree or equivalent qualifications in health promotion or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in health promotion, preferably working with Māori and Pacific community groups.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse communities.
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
