Today we searched "Occupational Therapist” on a major NZ employment website and got 136 hits.

Let’s not kid ourselves, we know that a Registered Occupational Therapist could have the pick of multiple jobs across the public and private sector, so, why would you choose to work with us?

Well first up, let’s be honest. We can’t compete with the salaries offered in private practice, we can’t offer you financial incentives, small caseloads, or a cruisy work day but what we can offer is for you to be part of a dedicated, energetic and creative team of people who care about supporting people to remain living well in their homes. This role involves far less report writing than is required and a better work life balance than private sector work. The cyclone this year helped us re-evaluate how we can ensure our team can achieve a better work - life balance so have flexible working styles and hours.

Engage Community Allied Health employ over 40 staff including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Dietitians, Speech Language Therapists, and Therapy Assistants, along with our supportive administrators who all work together to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.

We are looking for ‘can do’ people who have a passion for doing whatever it takes to support our most vulnerable to live their best life. No two days will look the same, there will never be a shortage of work but we will have lots of fun along the way and provide a great team spirit.

You must have a New Zealand recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy and have or are eligible for registration with Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand (OTBNZ).

New Zealand registration, current Annual Practicing Certificate and current clean driving license are essential.
