Are you looking for the next step in your occupational therapy career? Join our Allied Health Inpatient Occupational Therapy Team in a new OT Clinical Coach Advanced Practitioner role.

The primary focus of the role will be coaching other inpatient physical health Occupational Therapists who are on the rotational programme, new to the service, or working on aspects of their own professional development. The role will be an essential support in helping other Occupational Therapists to reach their full potential.

As a Clinical Coach, you will work alongside our Professional Lead and Team Leaders to support our Occupational Therapists in delivering high quality inpatient care.

The role will lead the clinical education programme, support individual competencies across the inpatient Occupational Therapy service, and lead clinical onboarding processes. The role will include group as well as individual mentoring, including hands on teaching and clinical demonstration. You will also support the OT inpatient team with an acute clinical caseload.

The primary focus of the role will be coaching other inpatient physical health Occupational Therapists who are on the rotational programme, new to the service, or working on aspects of their own professional development. The role will be an essential support in helping other Occupational Therapists to reach their full potential.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will have a passion and demonstrated skills for mentoring and coaching, workforce development and service improvement. You will be confident and flexible, with an ability to mentor and develop the skills of others. You will bring strong communication skills and have the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively to the shared goal of high-quality Occupational Therapy for our population.

A Masters in Occupational Therapy (or similar), or an intention to work towards this, is essential in addition to advanced clinical skills in the area of inpatient physical health Occupational Therapy and current New Zealand Occupational Therapy Registration and APC. We are looking for someone with at least five years of relevant clinical experience.

- demonstrate knowledge and understanding of local tikanga and Māori culture,
- Have active engagement and respectful relationships with Māori and Pasifika consumers and their communities, and a commitment to improving the management of long-term health conditions for these clients.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
