At Foodies, we’re an unbeatable team of almost 25,000 and over the past 100 years we’ve built up a network of almost 350 PAK’n’SAVE’s, New World’s, Four Squares and Gilmours stores across the North Island.

Due to internal promotions, we are looking for a Category Assistant to join the Merchandise Team to be based at our Landing Drive in Mangere.

**About the role**

This is an awesome place to learn the ropes of category and what makes supermarkets tick. Working across our Retail Banners (PAK’n SAVE, New World and Four Square), you’ll amongst other things:

- Manage article creation process, confirming key information and gaining appropriate approvals then maintain data, updating and communicating product changes
- Assist in preparation and analysis of Category Review, Joint Business plan and Annual plans
- Respond to all relevant store queries
- Assist Category Manager in high level marketing activity recommendations and competitor activity summaries
- Work with Category Manager to manage the promotional process including; pricing, proofing, circular visual layout and post promotion analysis
- Maintain promotional annual plan with changes in product and price

**About You**

Comfortable with high levels of administration, you need to be a bit analytical with a love of numbers. Being a whizz in Excel (intermediate level), you’ll be someone who is awesome with time management and able to prioritise a moving task list. Those awesome communication skills of yours will allow you to get on with everyone and build strong and meaningful relationships. Above all else you’ll be have enthusiasm and drive in spades and a willingness to learn and develop

This role could suit either a new graduate, someone currently working in an FMCG environment or someone from an analytical role looking to build a career in category management.
