**About the role**

The Category Assistant role is where you’ll learn the ropes of category and what makes supermarkets tick. Working across our Retail Banners (PAK’n SAVE, New World and Four Square), you’ll get to:

- Manage article creation process, confirming key information and gaining appropriate approvals then maintain data, updating and communicating product changes
- Assist in preparation and analysis of Category Review, Joint Business plan and Annual plans
- Respond to all relevant store queries
- Assist the Category Manager in high level marketing activity recommendations and competitor activity summaries
- Work with the Category Manager to manage the promotional process including; pricing, proofing, circular visual layout and post promotion analysis
- Maintain promotional annual plan with changes in product and price

**About You**

Comfortable with high levels of administration, you’ll be good with processes, be an analytical data whizz who is skilled in Excel with an eye for detail. You’ll be someone who is awesome with time management and able to prioritise a moving task list.

You’ll also have:

- Impressive communication skills
- Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships internally and with our suppliers
- The enthusiasm, drive and willingness to learn and develop
