Checkouts Supervisor

Glenview New World is looking for a Checkout superstar to join our dynamic team to help run our customer focused checkouts. This is a role where experience in customer service and staff supervision is preferred but not essential.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Providing excellent customer service to our customers
- Closing off the checkout department in the evening
- Ensuring checkout operators are following the right process at the checkout.
- Monitoring the security of the checkout area
- Keeping on top of customer flow and ensuring appropriate numbers of checkouts are always open.
- Handling customer enquiries and complaints appropriately
- Ensuring the Checkout area is always kept clean and tidy.
- Following the Sales of Liquor Policy and guidelines in the store
- Following the Health and Safety, Food Safety policies and compliance procedures in the store
- Coach and support new team member

**You must meet the following skills and experience requirements**
- Outgoing and friendly.
- High standards of presentation.
- Honest, reliable, excellent work ethic.
- To be physically fit - you’ll be on your feet all day and moving between Checkouts.
- Customer service driven - you’ll spend a lot of time helping our customers.
- Communicate clearly.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Great organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks as required.
- Preferably experience as a Checkout Supervisor or a Supervisory role.
- Preferably with a Liquor License.

The days and hours of work are mostly in the evening for closing and one day in the weekend is a must.
