Hamilton, New Zealand LGJobs Full time

Collaborating to drive excellence in asset management
- Working across ten councils

We are looking for a collaborative leader with a strong desire to bring people together and continue our shared vision of maximising the value our councils provide to their communities. This is your opportunity to get involved in an innovative and exciting initiative for the Waikato Region, and take it to the next level

Established in 2014, RATA (Regional Asset Technical Accord) was created for partnering Councils as a centre of expertise in asset management. The collaboration between councils allows for the delivery of more advanced asset management than could be achieved independently, enhancing council decision making and reducing whole of life asset costs.

The RATA team is employed by Waipā District Council and is contracted to the Waikato Local Authority shared services, Co-Lab. Co-Lab is equally owned by 12 councils across the greater Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions and assists them to maximise the value they provide to their communities by making it easier for councils to identify and realise shared opportunities. The list of shared opportunities is large and includes transportation, procurement, water services and of course, Asset Management.

The RATA team is primarily based in the Co-Lab office in Cambridge. The Manager RATA role will be seconded to Co-Lab, and the rest of the team may integrate further with Co-Lab in the future.

This is a brilliant chance to use your leadership capabilities for the long-term enhancement of our region's infrastructure. If you think you have the skills and passion to be our new Manager RATA, don't delay - APPLY NOW
