We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Out of Hours Helpline Coordinator to join our clients team. As an Out of Hours Helpline Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and supervising our helpline services outside of regular business hours.

**About the role**:
To provide quality clinical assessment, management adn on-shift support to clients entering our clients organisation through the Helpline utilising a strengths based, client-centered apporach.

Provide phone and text message support to individuals during the overnight shift, using effective triage and assessment skills. Respond to youth in crisis with empathy, non-judgmental attitude, and a trauma-informed approach.

**About you**:
The following qualifications are preferred but not essential

Registered under the Health Practitioner Competence Assurance (HPCA) Act 2003 e.g., nurse, psychologist, psychotherapist, occupational therapist or,

a fully registered alcohol and drug and/or gambling practitioner member of the Addiction Practitioners Association

AotearoaNew Zealand (DAPAANZ) or,

a fully registered social worker, or

A counsellor fully registered with NZAC.

You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure. You must have a passion for helping others and the ability to work in a team environment.
**If you do not have formal professional qualifications you must be able to demonstrate at least 5 years working in the mental health arena.**
