ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER

An exciting opportunity is available for a full-time senior architectural designer, in our specialist building consultancy team, based in Auckland. The role will be varied, focusing on multi-disciplinary projects in the building and insurance sector. We aim to partner with our clients to deliver specialised building consultancy services tailored to our clients’ needs.

Desired skills and attributes required for the role:

- Preferably a Licensed Building Practitioner, LBP D1 or LBP D2
- National Diploma in Architectural Technology (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role in New Zealand
- Excellent CAD & computer skills (Archicad)
- Knowledge of NZS3604, NZBC and building consent documentation
- The ability to relate to a variety of clients, think outside the square and provide practical solutions
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Ability to oversee design team and effectively manage team’s time
- Ability to travel or work remotely, if required, to assist with projects
- Valid NZ drivers license

Main duties and responsibilities:

- To provide effective architectural design/consent packages, either individually or as part of the team, to be in line with the preparation of scopes and costings, including submitting consent documentation
- Reporting to the client in a timely manner and complying with Company processes
- To achieve individual performance targets as agreed with the Team Manager and to contribute to the overall goals of the team
- To effectively manage a significant file load and achieve a high standard of professional work at all times
- Develop networks and relationships within the industry
- To deliver required levels of customer service, including full compliance with customer service and quality standards of performance
