The Logistics and Inventory Coordinator is the primary support for the Defence Science and Technology (DST) Scientists, with inventory management and control of equipment to ensure fit for purpose.
No day will be the same You will take ownership of the DST Store.
Your day will be busy as you undertake general inventory duties typical to this kind of role, along with:

- Ordering.
- Shipping.
- Managing inventory and warehousing of the vital supplies.
- Supporting Scientists for trials and experimentation.

In addition, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective administration of the DST vehicle and machinery fleet.
This role is based in Devonport. There may be some requirement to travel within New Zealand in support of DST work.

We are seeking a team player, someone that is not afraid to just get things done, working quietly behind the scenes knowing your team have what they need to be successful in their roles.
Ideally, you will have experience in SRM Inventory Management and intermediate computer skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, as these are crucial for performing well in this position.
- Strong communication skills are necessary, as you will be responsible for establishing and nurturing strong relationships with both suppliers and customers.
- It would be advantageous if you understood the compliance requirements when dealing with hazardous goods.

You need to have a Class 1 Full Driver's Licence, and ideally Forklift and/or HT licence.
