**New World Porirua currently seeks Checkout Operators to join our friendly and hardworking team. Customer service, cash handling and time management skills are a must. You must be flexible working between 7am - 9pm any day of the week.**

**The Job**:
Checkout operators provide our customers with a lasting impression; you will need to WOW them everyday. You will be responsible for scanning any and all items accurately and efficiently, ensuring that the customer is not held up. You will remain friendly and professional while doing so, engaging in small talk and generally interacting with the customer as appropriate, you will be knowledgeable when it comes to our promotions and the services provided by New World. You will also be responsible for alcohol sales alongside the supervisor, this requires you to adhere to liquor laws and store policies. You will be using a computerized till which requires you to follow processes accurately; you will be responsible for maintaining a balanced till.
