We are looking for an outstanding full-time Legal Support Officer to join our fantastic team on a fixed-term basis, experience in a legal environment is required.

As an experienced Legal Support Officer you will be required to:

- Undertake secretarial work at a senior level to support our lawyers
- Proactively support lawyers and other authors
- Undertake some team focused administrative tasks
- Be confident at building good relationships, both internally and externally

This challenging and varied role provides the opportunity to work with some of the sharpest legal minds in the market, as well as work in a busy, social and supportive team.

- Excellent written, verbal, and proofreading skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Outstanding organisational and time management skills
- Remain calm and composed under pressure

- Build effective relationships with authors and the wider team
- Provide excellent client service, acting in a professional, discreet, and service-oriented manner
- Provide proactive, responsive, and high-quality work

Key responsibilities include:

- Work collaboratively within the legal teams and across Christchurch City Council
- Facilitate Christchurch City Councils' client relationships and business development through the use of LEX software system
- Maintain matter management and client reporting processes for your team
- Produce documents to a high standard within specified timeframes

**_ Hours: Full-time, fixed-term for 11 months to cover an internal secondment_**
