**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

As part of our Business Technology team, Rail and Operational Technology (OT) to represent Auckland Transport (AT) for all technical aspects of Transport Systems related to major projects, including not only the systems used by alliance for management of projects but also the detailed requirements and procurement activities related to major transport infrastructure build by alliance or 3 party providers.

This includes rail, associated stations infrastructure including all SCADA type systems, disaster recovery planning, network design, radio design work and working with partners to assist in procurement document inputs and reviews. You will be responsible for working closely with CRLL and the Link Alliance board (and any future Alliance's formed in relation to major infrastructure projects) ensuring that the projects deliver to AT's strategic objectives of delivering safety and customer centricity in our services, and all the AT related standards and technology objectives.

You will also ensure the transport network and operational technology solutions are designed, planned, procured, integrated and delivered to the standards required to operate in these environments, and that vendors understand the importance of the systems being compatible and integrated with AT wide systems.

**Please note this is fixed term contract until March 2026.**

**Ko koe tēnei | About you**

As our Rail and Operational Technology (OT) Lead, you will bring:

- A minimum 15-20 years' experience within the ICT industry and industrial building systems management industry
- Including a minimum of 5 years at a senior level
- Including proven relationship building at C level and technical levels
- Including 5-7 years' experience in (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) SCADA and/ or Rail management/operations/ Operational Technology Systems.
- Proven experience in building strong relationships and influencing senior business leaders
- Experience working with Transport Strategy, Policy and Information systems
- Proven practical experience in aspects of Operational Technology Systems related to rail and transport engineering including analysis, investigation, planning and delivery.

You will also be equipped with strong emotional intelligence and strategic thinking that supports the ability to both empower and influence individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
