What will you do?

In this role, Associate, Infrastructure Advisory you will be challenged You will play an instrumental role in consulting to Aotearoa’s infrastructure sector, whether that be facilitating better schools and hospitals, transforming the water sector, decarbonising industry, or helping build infrastructure projects of national significance.

In essence we are looking for an advisor passionate about helping infrastructure organisations achieve great outcomes for their customers, stakeholders, investors, and broader society. The advice you provide will centre on translating technical information into social, commercial, and financial options for decision makers. You will lead high performing consultancy teams on client engagements, and will advise senior managers, executives, board members and financiers on infrastructure investments, improvements, and acquisitions / disposals.

Here are the key things that you will do to bring ideas to life:

- Solve infrastructure challenges. This may include:

- Helping a client with the strategic direction of their business and asset base (e.g., provide strategic management consulting advice)
- Helping a client prepare for an infrastructure asset sale or purchase (e.g., provide technical due diligence services)
- Helping a client address their asset growth and/or renewal challenges (e.g., provide strategic asset management services)
- Helping a client optimise the asset maintenance programmes (e.g., provide procurement and commercial management advisory, operational excellence services)
- Communicate with impact. This may include:

- Producing professional, visually engaging deliverables for clients to effectively convey complex analysis into a tidy and easily digestible format
- Producing polished pitch decks, proposals, and thought pieces
- Presenting findings to management teams, conferences, board members
- Develop self and others. This may include:

- Adopting a growth mindset to continually be open to new ideas / professional development
- Coaching and mentoring team members on the job

What can you bring to the team?

You will share our genuine passion for re-imagining the future of Aotearoa and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape this vision.
- At least 10 years’ of consultancy experience in infrastructure investment, improvement / operational excellence, and/or acquisition / disposal
- Passionate in and experienced with structured problem solving in a cross-functional environment; hold the ability to find pragmatic solutions to real world infrastructure problems
- A proven track record of managing consultant teams on client engagements
- A strong customer centric delivery focus, the ability to juggle multiple competing priorities
- The ability to communicate with impact, both verbally and in written form
- Experienced in presenting to and interacting with executive teams, board members, and investors
- A tertiary qualification such as Engineering, Finance, Social Sciences, Law, (or significant real world infrastructure advisory consulting experience)
- A genuine interest to build on, or develop an understanding of Te Ao Māori; promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori
