**About the role**

Due to our continuous growth we are now looking for a qualified HR professional who is interested in assisting our payroll team to support our 60+ New Zealand based workers plus other regions within Australia and/or Canada as needed. At its core, the role involves:

- Assisting our payroll team with their fortnightly payroll process for our New Zealand workers using iPayroll.
- Maintaining accurate records of employee information, updating personnel files, and ensuring that all data is secure and confidential.
- Monitoring on/cross/off-boarding activities and processes for our New Zealand based workers.
- Responding to employee concerns and complaints, providing guidance and support to employees and managers, and ensuring that all workplace policies and procedures are followed.
- Responding to management performance and conduct concerns by assisting them with setting goals, conducting performance reviews, and providing coaching and feedback to employees and managers to help them improve performance outcomes.
- Ensure OW is compliant with all employment laws and regulations in New Zealand. Facilitating any associated processes and supporting the business to achieve continuous improvement and compliance.
- Leading and/or contributing to other HR projects as assigned.

**About the person**
- Bachelor degree involving a major in HRM and/or New Zealand employment law.
- Clear, concise and focused oral and written communication skills.
- A team player with an ability to build positive working relationships that helps everyone to achieve goals and business objectives.
- Negotiation and influencing skills that results in a positive experience for all stakeholders.
- Ability to take a logical and analytical approach to solving problems and resolving issues.
- Effectively prioritise, work efficiently and productively, and manage time well.
- Self-starter, ability to motivate and persevere through challenging tasks.
- Resilient to change and a strong ability to keep calm in a crisis and effectively manage external pressures.

Payroll processing experience is not necessary provided you have a strong understanding of New Zealand employment law and matters relating to pay, such as Kiwisaver. Training will be provided as well as access to EMA Advice Line.
