**About the role**:This could be the start of an amazing career in one of the fastest-growing industries. Your role as a Energy Consultant means you are the first point of contact for residential and commercial customers in their homes/business and are responsible for qualifying leads and scheduling appointments for Solar Specialists.

**We are looking for**:A team player who genuinely enjoys positively engaging with people. You will be providing solar education to potential customers at their homes, so having a high level of maturity and communication skills is essential.

**Responsibilities**
- Home visit to targeted prospect customers to create awareness of climate change and present benefits of our solar and battery products with zero upfront costs and guaranteed saving on their power bills.
- Making an assessment on the eligibility of solar and battery offers.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of customers’ current and projected electrical usage and financial ROI.
- Contribute to the success of the organisation by guiding quality prospects through the sales channel.
- Manage lead flow to ensure customer satisfaction and successfully grow team sales.
- Determine suitability of sites using proprietary tools and satellite technology as required.
- Use design tool to show layout of the solar panels on the roofs.
- Exceed set quotas and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Deal effectively with all inquiries and represent the company in a professional manner.
- Must be able to elicit customers’ interests and concerns while providing pertinent information

**Qualifications**
- Previous solar industry experience is preferable. If you have the right attitude and believe in succeeding, we will support you to achieve the desired results
- Be able to learn new technology and procedures
- Basic electrical knowledge and information about the NZ electrical retail industry is required
- Be proficient with MS Office and CRM systems
- Must be customer-focused at all times to ensure high quality of customer satisfaction
- Proven track record or willing to work in a target driven environment
- Ability to use sound judgment in the qualifying process
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, flexible with competent ability to plan and prioritise work in a fast-paced, high volume work environment
