Kaihautū Māori

Te Mahi / About the position

We are seeking a Kaihautū Māori to guide and support our commitment to biculturalism, equity and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Based in Ōtautahi/Christchurch and reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this role is an integral member of the senior leadership team and will influence and partner with colleagues to successfully implement our Hauora Māori Plan throughout the organisation.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Working knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and bicultural / partnership challenges in the healthcare sector
- Strong relational skills - able to lead and influence others
- The ability to work collaboratively across a complex organisation

Today our highly skilled workforce delivers specialist nursing and homecare support to the most vulnerable in our community - in their homes and in our specialty clinics, residential hospital, and hospice in Ōtautahi/Christchurch. In recent years our homecare service has expanded to look after clients in the Nelson Marlborough and Wellington regions.
