We are looking for a passionate Safety and Wellbeing Professional to join our team and help drive our purpose forward.

If you are committed to keeping people safe and supported, and are willing to go the extra mile, this role is for you As a key member of our Safety & Wellbeing team, you will provide specialist direction and support aligned with IAG’s Safety and Wellbeing policies, procedures, and frameworks.

Your focus in this role will be on the simplification and optimisation of IAG’s Safety and Wellbeing management systems, procedures and processes.

This role is a **7 to 8 month**, full-time fixed-term opportunity based in **Auckland**.

**Ōu Pūkenga | About You**
- Proven experience in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) or Employee Relations (ER) within a corporate environment (experience within the insurance industry would be ideal)
- Tertiary qualification/s in Workplace, Health and Safety or Employee Relations is essential
- Proven experience in the development, implementation and delivery of innovative and contemporary safety initiatives as part of an integrated, cohesive safety management system
- Demonstrated ability to advise, negotiate and work effectively with key stakeholders, including management, employees, and external agencies/partners on safety issues
- Experience in providing trusted technical safety & wellbeing advice, expertise and guidance to all levels of the business
- Strong time management, organisational and prioritisation skills
- Attention to detail and accurate analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to navigate complex problems and work well under pressure and in emergency response situations
