**About the Role**:
As an Assistant Accountant, you'll engage in diverse accounting functions and administration, playing a pivotal role in enhancing our operations. Ideally, you're partially qualified with hands-on commercial accounting experience, ready to contribute value to our business.

This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week. The pay grade ranges from $30 to $40 per hour, dependent on your experience. You'll enjoy 20 days of standard annual leave and the standard company contribution to KiwiSaver. Additionally, on-site parking will be available.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborating on the preparation and presentation of financial statements.
- Managing general ledger activities, reconciliations, and cost allocations.
- Overseeing payroll preparation and reporting.
- Handling accounts receivable/accounts payable and maintaining the cash book.

You'll be joining a mid-sized, growing business conveniently situated near Christchurch CBD. In our welcoming back-office setting, you'll benefit from support provided by experienced industry professionals and management.

- Solid understanding of general accounting practices and expertise in payroll processing and legislation.

- Exceptional teamwork skills, along with adeptness in managing relationships with all stakeholders.
