About us

Mary Potter Hospice provides specialist palliative care services for people living in Wellington, Porirua and Kāpiti. We provide equitable, compassionate, patient
- and whānau
- centred, free-of-charge hospice care for patients, families, whānau and carers in the places they call home, and at our Inpatient Unit in Newtown.

About the position

We are currently recruiting for two Community Registered Nurses to support patients in our community; one each for Porirua and for Kāpiti.

The purpose of these fulfilling and important roles is to provide skilled and compassionate care to ensure that all of our patients receive a high standard of service. You will be working with a friendly, professional and multidisciplinary team, providing in-home care and support to patients and whānau.

You will be working Monday to Friday between 8.00am and 5.00pm - no weekends.

About you

You will need to:

- Be a NZ registered nurse with a current NZ annual practicing certificate
- Preferably have palliative care experience (two years post registration) or community experience but we will provide training and support for the right person interested in developing their skills and knowledge in this field
- Be required to undertake pre-employment health screening and complete a Ministry of Justice criminal records check
- Have NZ residency or a valid work visa.
