Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
A rare opportunity has become available within our Radiation Therapy service as the Radiation Therapy Head.
The Radiation Therapy service is a critical component of Te Pūriri o Te Ora Regional Cancer and Blood Service. The team comprises a complement of nearly 80 FTE who provide about 48,000 radiation therapy treatments per year to patients in the Northern region
As the Radiation Therapy Head, you will be responsible for providing outstanding leadership and operational oversight to the team to ensure that our patients receive the highest quality of care possible. You will also be responsible for motivating and developing individuals and teams while looking beyond existing structures and ways to produce a more effective and innovative service delivery.
Your enthusiasm, passion and vision will ensure a culture of continuous improvement is established and staff are motivated to excel and further develop.
This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Auckland City Hospital.
- A well-developed ability to work professionally with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- A proven track record of influencing continuous improvement of quality and service at all levels
- Hands-on experience in developing and implementing strategies and policies that will help achieve our goal of being the best at what we do
- Demonstrated the ability to lead performance improvement, innovation and efficiency in a complex environment, and will possess a depth of leadership experience with a collaborative style.
- Excellent project management skills.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
To be considered for the position, you will have a recognised tertiary qualification in Radiation therarpy with MRTB registration and a valid APC.
