- **Opportunities for research, quality improvement, basic science collaboration, and education**:

- **Based in Auckland, relocation assistance provided and organised for you**

**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

Te Pūriri o Te Ora Regional Cancer and Blood Service, based at Auckland City Hospital, is the leading provider of cancer care in the Auckland region, serving a large and varied population of around 1.7 million people.

As a part of the malignant haematology and stem cell transplant team, you will utilize your skills and experience with a focus on transplant and cellular therapy while having the opportunity to be involved in the full spectrum of haematological cancer care. Your work experience in clinical haematology with sub-speciality experience and research in aspects of general and malignant haematology including the treatment of plasma cell disorders, leukaemia, and stem cell transplantation are keys to your success in this role. However, we would also be interested to have a conversation if you have interests and experience with other sub specialties.

You will be a part of the malignant Clinical Haematology Service, providing secondary haematology services to the central Auckland area and tertiary services including treatment of acute leukaemia, high grade lymphoma and autologous/allogeneic stem cell transplant for the greater Auckland region (population greater than 1.5 million). The Malignant Haematology service works closely with a well-established thrombosis unit and bleeding disorder program including dedicated haemophilia care, as well as LabPlus who provides integrated and comprehensive laboratory support for the clinical service.

This service also has an extensive suite of clinical trials (collaborative group, investigator initiated, and pharmaceutical sponsored) as well as excellent links with regional medical and radiation oncology programs.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the teaching programme for undergraduate medical students, registrars and hospital staff. An interest in quality improvement is also valuable supporting this unit’s drive for excellence and continued FACT accreditation. Click here to view the Position Description
