**Mō te tūnga | About the role**
Our Operating Theatre Suite at Christchurch Hospital consists of 28 theatres, providing acute and elective operating from all surgical specialties on a 24 hour, 7 day a week basis.
The Operating Theatre Suite team at Christchurch Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, with experience in PeriOp to work alongside the Theatre Staff and Consumers. Your methodical, organised approach and exceptional interpersonal skills will see you succeed in this role. Working collaboratively with a small team, within a larger service you will be confident in your ability to work under pressure and build successful therapeutic relationships in this diverse and innovative role.
As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will:
- Provide direction and support to nursing and allied health professionals working within the operating theatre.
- Work with all multidisciplinary teams to assist with the operational management of the operating theatre service.
- Undertake the daily co-ordination of the operating theatre.
- Work within a team of other clinical nurse coordinators to promote - best practice - and clinical evaluation of patient outcomes.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- A New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificate
- At least 5 years post registration experience
- You will be a confident practitioner with exceptional patient assessment skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence and ability to work effectively with a wide range of people
- Has or is working towards a post graduate qualification relevant to the profession
- Demonstrated leadership skills
