We’re seeking an experienced internal and change communications leader to help tell our stories, and to develop and embed a thriving and supportive culture for our complex and varied organisation.

This is a key role in our organisation, where you will be responsible for working closely with Strategic Relations and Communications leads and our executive lead team to embed the communications strategy to support our ongoing organisational development.

You’ll help develop our internal communications channels, set the tone and frequency for our communications and develop excellent and effective relationships with the leadership teams across all our different rōpū (business groups).

You’ll take the lead in engaging our people to help drive a culture of collaboration and unity across our organisation and continue to improve our internal communications processes and practice.

You will manage the coordination of a range of communications initiatives and projects; establish new protocols or channels as appropriate; and manage often competing priorities from across our business.

You’ll have a minimum of eight years’ experience in a similar role; and you will need to be comfortable providing strategic communications counsel to Tātaki Auckland Unlimited’s People team and senior leaders.

Your ability to build trust and strong partnerships, and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders will be paramount, and you will need to be adaptable and pragmatic. Above all, you will need to be an excellent communicator, demonstrating leadership on internal campaigns and change initiatives that successfully engage and motivate others.

**Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou: What we offer**
This is an important role for Tātaki Auckland Unlimited, and one you’ll be able to make your own. You’ll develop and implement our internal communications strategy, and lead others to be the best communicators they can be.

You’ll be joining a team of dedicated and respected communication experts working collaboratively across the region to contribute to Auckland’s cultural vibrancy, growth and development.

We are committed to diversity and enhanced Māori outcomes, and we have a culture built on trust and valuing individual and collective contributions. We also prioritise and understand the need for work/life-balance and we offer flexible working.
