Castle Point Funds is a boutique fund manager started in 2013. We have seen significant growth since then, we’re ambitious, so plan to continue this trajectory over the coming years. Our focus is long-term, in terms of investments and our customer relationships.

At Castle Point we believe in giving people the freedom to excel, therefore, we offer our team the ability to work fully remotely in any part of New Zealand, but we also have space in Auckland’s Britomart for people who like to come into the office.

**A bit about our role.**
Reporting to our MD and working closely with the COO, as CFO you’ll play a key role in running Castle Point on a day-to-day basis. Your main responsibilities include but are not limited to;

Day to Day Accounting - Tax, Financial Statements, AP/AR, payroll, Fund Accounting etc - With the support of a bookkeeper and CA firm (most day-to-day work is outsourced to CA and Fund Accounting firm)

Financial Management - Budgeting/Forecasting, Monthly Financial Reporting, Revenue/Cost/Margins, Cashflow, Business Partnering, etc.

Risk, Compliance and Legal - Management of team members and cover for holidays and sickness.

Board reporting.

General - Be key to developing company culture/performance, and developing best practice processes/systems but also be prepared to roll your sleeves up and get involved in anything our growing business needs.

Therefore your ability to fit in with the team and operate in an open, hands-on environment will be key to both our and your success. We also want someone who can make high-level decisions and is comfortable reporting to the Board of Directors.

To be successful, ideally, we’d like to see some of the following in your background;

Fully qualified accountant

Tech savvy - in collaboration tools, but also in excel and other systems

Operated in a mid or senior-level finance role with ownership

Due to your responsibilities and the size of the business, you’ll need the ability to operate in areas outside of finance and roll your sleeves up to help others or take on projects

Experience in Financial Services/Funds is a big bonus, we’ll also consider people looking to step away from a CA firm (at a more senior level)

We are open to this role being full or part-time, finding people who “fit” is more important.
