Te Haeata/The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute towards the successful monitoring and delivery of the National Strategy for Eliminating Family Violence and Sexual Violence called Te Aorerekura. This role sits within Te Puna Aonui the governments joint venture for eliminating family violence and sexual violence. This provides a unique opportunity to support relationships and collaborative ways of working around data and insights across 14 government agencies.
This role will help ensure that implementation of Te Aorerekura is informed by the best data and evidence to demonstrate how Te Puna Aonui agencies are tracking towards the stated outcomes. This will include supporting the Interdepartmental Executive Board (IEB) to meet accountability measures relating to outcomes monitoring of Te Aorerekura.
**You will be responsible for contributing towards**:
- Board reporting, including a biennial report on the measures and outcome indicators in the OMF and regular deep dives on specific topics,
- data and insights reporting functions across Te Puna Aonui including the Te Puna Aonui annual report, requests from Ministers and reporting to Parliament and reporting to decision makers and the public against the action plan of Te Aorerekura
- Supporting work to fill data and evidence gaps including set up of new data sources
Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience
- Specialist knowledge of data, analysis, data visualisation, data storytelling and how it can be applied to business
- Able to provide written reports and presentations to a high standard
- Able to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships and effective networks across and within organisations
- An ability to lead and facilitate workshops is desirable
- Communicating with a wide range of audiences on complex issues
- Understanding of public sector systems and processes, including accountability requirements and the use of performance information to inform decision-making
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Flexible and responsive to client and stakeholder needs
- Proven ability to prioritise work, work under pressure, and to tight timeframes and makes timely decisions that stand up to scrutiny
- A high level of personal integrity is essential given access to highly confidential and sensitive information.

We are a small unit, with a big role. Established as an Interdepartmental Executive Board (IEB) our mandate is to ensure there is clear, joint accountability across government for work relating to the elimination of family violence and sexual violence.
We are on a journey to establish ourselves as a learning organisation and centre of expertise that stewards the Family Violence and Sexual Violence system and cross agency strategy - Te Aorerekura to collectively work in partnership with the communities we serve and always hold survivors, family, and whanau at the centre of everything we do.
The enabling transformation group that this role sits in leads the local, regional, and national enablement of Te Aorerekura, ensuring the actions and shifts identified are whānau centred and iwi and community led. It's a newly formed group and you will have the opportunity to contribute towards building the team culture and leading how we use and analyse data and insights across the group and wider unit.

**Salary Range**: The appointing salary for this role will be between $110,766 and $154,680 based on skills and experience.
