We are on the lookout for a passionate Cook who would enjoy the opportunity to share their culinary skills with the 50 residents who call Terrace View Resthome in Ashburton home.

This position covering the Chef Manager’s days off, requires a reliable and hardworking individual that prides themself on producing consistently delicious and wholesome meals time and time again. Additional Catering Assistant shifts (Sunday & Monday 6am - 2.30pm) are available for someone seeking more than two days’ work per week.

To be successful in this role, you do not need to be a qualified chef as you will be working to a set menu. It would suit someone with knowledge and experience in preparing, cooking, and plating wholesome food in a home or community setting. Recipes are provided and training will be given. You will need to have:

- experience preparing, cooking and serving wholesome sweet and savoury food
- an interest in baking
- an understanding of dietary requirements and food control regulations
- experience managing product quality standards and service delivery
- excellent communication skills and a flexible/can-do, committed attitude
- ability to work unsupervised and supervise kitchen staff
- excellent time management skills
- be friendly and engaging and enjoy making the day of residents by serving amazing meals.
