**We are seeking a Postal Team Leader to join our team in Whanganui**

In this Permanent full-time role, you will lead a dedicated close knit team, Monday to Friday
- where early starts are the norm

We are looking for a proactive leader that will thrive off ensuring efficient and timely distribution of mail, while maintaining high standards of service and safety. **Here’s what you'll do**

This is a dynamic role where flexibility is a must—whether you're riding a motorbike to deliver mail or behind the wheel courier delivering vital freight to local businesses. As the Postal Team Leader, you will manage a cohesive team of posties and driver, keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently.

**The key accountabilities of the role will include but are not limited to the following**:

- Deliver mail to our valued customers in Whanganui, whether it be by motorbike or courier delivery
- Manage staff attendance and absence, reviewing and allocating runs where required to ensure mail delivery standards are in line with the company
- Ensure safety is the top priority in the workplace.
- Ensure training & development for newly recruited staff as well as existing staff.
- Organised and methodical approach to work processes
- Monitor and mentor your team, providing leadership and direction where required
- Ensure compliance with the company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a focus on continuous improvement with regard to service delivery

- Clean full Class 6 Motorcycle License
- Clean full Class 1 Driver’s License
- Experience leading a team
- A motivated individual who is able to set direction, motivate and recognise high performance across the team
- Effective communication with internal and external customers and suppliers.
- Step in to help resolves any customer or team issues
- Self-motivated achiever who uses initiative and creates ideas to grow the business and well as identify areas for improvement.
- Highly organised with strong time management skills
- Flexible and adaptable relative to business requirements
- High regard for Health & Safety standards
- Ability to pass pre-employment checks i.e Drug Test and MOJ Check
