**The Role**

The Pre-construction Manager - Industrial will take on a senior technical sales role contributing to the ongoing development of the business for all sectors of the infrastructure and industrial market. The role can be based in any major centre from Auckland to the Central North Island with regular visits to the Auckland head office and to clients throughout New Zealand. Specific responsibilities will include:

- Specification and concept design of water and wastewater treatment systems and other industrial plant
- Develop and implement Sales and Marketing Plans
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Develop and maintain database of clients and prospective projects
- Preparation of expressions of interest, proposals and bids for projects
- Presentation of proposals to clients.
- Work alongside a dedicated team of project management professionals to ensure successful execution of projects and client satisfaction from point of sale to commissioning and handover.
**About You**

High-level technical sales, relationship management, people management, planning and commercial expertise are essential in this exciting career advancing role. You will need to be a self-motivated, energetic and dynamic leader who has a strong desire to develop and lead the marketing function of this diverse design and build contracting business. Excellent communication skills and an outgoing personality are essential. You’ll be experienced in developing client relationships and leading proposals and bids for projects.

You will be tertiary qualified in Civil or Mechanical engineering, with all round mechanical engineering knowledge and have past onsite project administration experience on larger projects.

You have gained at least 5+ years’ experience through working on a wide range of water and wastewater projects. Additional experience in other Industrial and Infrastructure sectors would also be highly regarded.

You’ll be well connected and networked in the New Zealand industry with a proven ability to develop good business relationships and secure work and have a passion for staying abreast of industry needs and best practice. Existing networks and business relationships with local councils and government bodies would be an advantage.

All applicants must have relevant New Zealand experience and have the right to work in New Zealand.
