We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Fire Engineer to join our team in Christchurch.

If you are an a Fire Engineer who enjoys being a strong part of a multi-disciplinary team, developing and maintaining client relationships, whilst working across an interesting range of projects nationally, then we would like to hear from you.

**About the role**

As a Senior Fire Engineer, you will be an integral part of our team; providing fire engineering design services across projects with preparation of fire reports and drawings. Every building is different and the challenges we work on constantly change, we assess and deliver strong technical design and produce documentation for building consent.
- Prescriptive fire design using NZ Building Code Acceptable Solution documents.
- Performance-based fire engineered design and specific engineering design solutions using C/VM2 or Alternative Solutions inclusive of evacuation and smoke movement modelling.
- Construction monitoring inspections onsite.
- Peer reviews of fire engineering assessments.
- Existing building review and assessments for compliance.
- Contribute to developing and growing the discipline and services we offer to our clients.

**About you**
- MEng specialising in Fire Safety Engineering or equivalent tertiary degree
- CPEng is preferred
- Fire engineering design experience within a consultancy, with a thorough understanding and practical knowledge of New Zealand Building Codes and Standards is essential.
- CFD Modelling (FDS), and Zone Modelling (B-Risk).
- Exceptional communication skills, thrives in client-facing roles, and excels at building and maintaining relationships, and adept in business development.
- Excel in tackling challenges with a proactive approach to problem solving, driven to deliver innovative and cost-efficient solutions for our clients, supported by strong decision-making skills.
- Collaborative team player, adept at communicating effectively with a wide range of people.
