Corporate & Digital Services (CDS) comprises of a number of large and diverse functions; People Experience, Digital, Property, Health, Safety & Security, Data & Information, Reliance & Assurance Services, Commercial Services and the Office of the Deputy Secretary.

CDS is an important partner in the delivery of Te Tāhū o te Ture strategic and operational priorities. With a tīma of almost 600 kaimahi we help put in place enduring partnerships with communities and suppliers which can be leveraged to achieve strategic outcomes. We deliver services to keep people and information safe, we are the kaitaki of kaimahi well-being and we manage our property and technology infrastructure.

**Mō te tīma/About out team**

This new role is part of the Office of the Deputy Secretary CDS tīma who are a conduit for CDS and provide support and advice across the rōpū and into Te Tāhū o te Ture.

The role has created through a change process with the aim to make a significant shift away from co-ordination of processes and information, towards value-add and meaningful mahi. It's an exciting time for CDS, and the Office is a key part of enabling a future focus and driving positive change for the rōpū and their ways of working.

**Te āhuatunga a te tūranga / About the role**

The newly created Advisory Services Lead plays a key part in driving positive change for CDS. You will work in partnership with the new Planning and Performance Lead to set the vision and drive capability and maturity uplift for the wider team. You will be providing high-quality CDS advice and support through a proactive, responsive and collaborative approach.

As the Advisory Services Lead you will be leading a small team of hard-working advisors, creating a high performing environment while improving internal processes and working to deliver advice to the Deputy Secretary. You will be required to build and maintain relationships across key internal and external stakeholders and makes connections across our CDS rōpū and Te Tāhū o te Ture.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead the development of appropriate systems to provide high-quality advice, insights and information to inform decision making.
- Ensure deadlines are met with high-quality outputs which hit the mark first time round.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key individuals and groups internally and externally.
- Identify issues or risks, escalate where appropriate (with relevant information) and lead the development and implementation of mitigation strategies.
- Seek out continuous improvement opportunities and build maturity and capability across CDS.
- Build, lead and motivate your team to achieve the required outcomes

**He pūkenga tou/Skills and Experience**

**Key Requirements**:

- Experience in working with, advising and influencing senior leaders in large and complex public sector organisations.
- Proven leadership in coaching and mentoring staff for success, and experience establishing a high performing culture.
- Strong knowledge and experience in machinery of government with excellent political savviness.
- Demonstrated analytical thinking and the ability to exhibit confident and professional political advice.
- Strong demonstration of building and maintaining relationships across an organisation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in which you have the ability to clearly present complex information with clear insights to senior leaders.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent knowledge and skills.
