We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children’s Hospital, located in central Auckland.

We are part of Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, the overarching organisation for New Zealand’s national health service. Te Whatu Ora leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.

**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

You will work under the supervision of Medical Laboratory Scientists and will be assigned tasks that fit with your skill set and competency with the opportunity for further training as appropriate.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**

This is an entry level opportunity. We are looking for students who are:

- In the 1st to 3rd year studying towards a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science degree (BMLS)
- Interesting in working casual hours as and when required by the service
- Willing to work across any laboratory discipline

This is a wonderful opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated students to work in the most specialised medical laboratory in New Zealand across a broad number of disciplines and experience real life in a busy and dynamic scientific environment.
