About the Role
The Principal Consultant role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of great Digital Experiences for our customers. This role involves guiding our customers to make the right decisions, helping the client to size and define projects for success, and making sure they deliver value.
Role Responsibilities
- Drive product strategies and long-term vision to build best in class digital products
- Leading the development of strategic product roadmaps, budgets and learning collateral that are consistent with corporate objectives
- Using well developed industry knowledge to strategically direct product development
- Leading customer workshops, defining future state business solutions, driving outcomes and ensuring stakeholders are informed and in agreement to any changes.
- Developing and driving the business case for changes to the product offering or its delivery to market to maximise product growth
- Leading and driving the definition of the overall strategy for the "Digital Solution" in a project/program, in a way that complies with and advances overall enterprise architecture.
- Acting in the role of a trusted advisor for the customer ensuring that their business outcomes are focused on and that appropriate strategic digital solutions are delivered.
- Ensuring that overall business solution/architecture is agreed and endorsed by all stakeholders and identifies and evaluates possible solution options.
- Communicating the business solution, its implications and ensuring that all the teams responsible to implement understand the key aspects and outcomes and have working plans to deliver them. Takes an active role in the creation of practical plans.
- Developing a broader awareness of enterprise and domain architecture and technology strategy and direction amongst project/program team members.
- The traceability of solutions against project/program objectives and requirements.
- Receiving assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
- Providing mentoring support to business analysts and product owners.
- Building and maintaining a strong, constructive working relationships with customer and Datacom staff.
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement to build a culture of service excellence and demonstrates new ways of working.
**To be successful in this role you will have**:
- 8+ years of product management/strategic workshop facilitation experience with broad exposure to computer technologies, project management and lean development methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in managing people and teams.
- Finance management experience, including cost estimation and budget tracking and reporting
- Proven experience with the design and delivery of software solutions with emphasis all aspects of digital experience solutions.
- Ability to work on issues of diverse and/or unclear scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
- Ability to interact with and advise at an executive level and able to help senior manager at customer to assemble business cases for board level presentation
- Demonstrated ability to define and/or implement strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with subordinates, supervisors and functional peer groups.
- Proven negotiating skills with the aptitude to ensure win/win situations for all parties.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer relationship building and management skills.
- Strong influencing and persuasive ability.
- Effective presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information across various levels.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Strong consultative and planning skills.
- Ability to escalate with a solution focus
