**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead internal technical training and mentor juniors
- Lead Resource Consent team input to District Plan review and other planning policy matters, including Resource Management reforms.
- Collaborate with Team Leaders and Manager across the resource consenting department
**Key Requirements**:
- 10 + years in a planning/resource management environment.
- Strong leadership experience/people management.
- Council experience or private consultancy would be advantageous.
- Experience a senior resource consenting role with comprehensive knowledge of the planning and resource consenting process within the RMA.
- Environment Court/Environment Protection Agency (EPA) experience highly desirable.
- Track record of developing and maintaining relationships across the stakeholder community and having political awareness.
- Ability to lead others, encourage collaboration and work positively in a team environment.
