**Tēnei tūranga - About the Role**:
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join our team.

This busy team is responsible for a variety of tasks such as regular payment runs across multiple ledgers, consolidated invoices, recurring invoices, foreign currency payments, and tax payments.

This is a great opportunity for you to join a motivated and friendly team and provide support to one of NZ’s largest government departments. If you are excited to help drive a culture of innovation and change while maintaining an environment which upholds strong financial controls, then this is the role for you.
- You will be responsible for regular payment runs across multiple ledgers
- You will pay using foreign currency
- You will handle queries and reconcile supplier accounts
- You will pay recurring invoices
- You will pay tax payments

**Skills and Experience Required**
- Good understanding of accounting systems, controls and processes
- An excellent eye for detail and accuracy
- Takes ownership for work and sees it through to completion
- Has effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise and process large volumes of work
- Enthusiasm for continuous improvement
- Good understanding of operating in a customer-focused environment with the ability to communicate information in a clear and logical manner.
- Experience with Technology 1 FMIS package would be an advantage
- Must have legal right to live and work in NZ
