We are seeking a Senior Digital Designer to join our Transport team in Auckland who will be responsible for developing models & documentation for transport projects.
Summary of key tasks:
Working as an integral part of the team on Transport projects, such as rail, roads and highways, your duties will include:
Production of drawings & models using software such as Autodesk’s AutoCAD, Vehicle Tracking and Civil 3D.

Interpret design intent sketches provided by the project engineers to create 3D models and drawings and identify potential design issues

Comply with company and project-specific modelling and drawing standards

Assist with the formal drawing submission process and develop production drawings

Input to BIM model and coordination with other disciplines

Ability to work within a project’s defined Common Data Environment e.g. BIM360 or Projectwise

Working closely with our Digital Delivery teams to develop your 3D modelling and visualisation capabilities e.g. Infraworks and Navisworks

Parametric modelling skills and visual scripting such as Dynamo would be advantageous

Experience / knowledge of stormwater modelling
- Minimum academic, professional qualifications, experience and other skills:
4 years’ experience working as a digital designer

Demonstrable experience in concept, preliminary and detailed design of transport and civil engineering infrastructure projects

Good working knowledge of local design standards

Strong proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD modelling & documentation software

Effective communication skills and team working

Willingness to adopt emerging technologies

Ability to explain design techniques to other users

A passion to be a mentor to our early career professionals
