**Who is hiring?**
Our client is a leading provider of power conversion and energy storage products for the telecommunications, materials handling, electric vehicle and renewable energy sectors. Based in Christchurch, they have been successfully designing and manufacturing their products for a global market for over 30 years. Their expertise includes design, development, manufacture and distribution offering a full 360 service to blue chip customers around the world.

**The role**:
As a Component Engineer you will use your knowledge in electronic component engineering and product design to identify and resolve component design and supply chain issues. You will work across the product lifecycle, maintaining a bill of materials and researching component technology trends. This is a key role that works closely with interdisciplinary teams across the business and ensures improved design and continued supply of products.

**What you will need**:
Ideally you will bring to the role experience in the following areas:

- Experience in electrical/electronic component engineering
- Experience working with electronic supply chain, electronic component manufacturers and mechanical assembly suppliers
- Experience in the design of electronic products
- ERP system experience
- Good communicator with ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Enjoy researching component technology, industry trends and sharing knowledge
- Focus on optimising design and cost reduction
- Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
