**Tenei turanga - About the Role**:
Occupational Regulation is a cross-sector team responsible for regulating and investigating complaints about several different occupational licensing and registration schemes, currently including Electrical Workers, Licensed Building Practitioners, Immigration Advisers, Motor Vehicle Traders, Auctioneers and Pool Inspectors.

An exciting opportunity exists for Case Officers, who will carry out the case management and administration functions for the team.

Case Officers, who are part of the Investigations team, work in a cross-sector role and have responsibility for supporting two independent Statutory Boards and the Investigators to fulfil their important functions.

**About you**:
You are a positive, energetic self-starter who will be expected to perform core administrative duties, provide advice on complaints enquiries and provide administrative support to the wider team when needed.

Your work will also contribute to the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the complaints management process. You may be required to travel from time to time.

**Skills and Experience Required**
- Strong relationship management skills ideally with working with Board members who operate at a very senior level.
- Preparation of meeting agendas and distribution of papers and high quality minute taking
- Triage shared inboxes and preparation of investigation files.
- Preparation of investigation hearing files, witness summons and decision outcomes.
- High level of organisational skills and attention to detail and proven ability to prioritise and manage deadlines in a high volume environment.
- The ability to communicate information clearly, both orally and written, in a manner and style appropriate to the intended audience
- Excellent time management skills, with proven competency in identifying priorities and meeting deadlines under changing conditions
- A working style that is professional and calm under pressure, with an aptitude for building constructive collaborative relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- A positive, proactive approach with a desire to show initiative and work with a minimum of supervision.
- Must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand
