**About the Role**:

- Inspect each job to understand issues and discuss with customer.
- Check customer credit with the Credit Controller, confirm credit terms and negotiate cost and time scale.
- Log job onto system and update progress, as well as the customer. Keep fully informed on job.
- Forward documentation onto assigned technician.
- Closely monitor booking system ensuring jobs are kept at capacity.
- Liaise with the Parts department to ensure parts are ordered and processed in a timely fashion.
- Investigate and rectify anomalies in repair order costing.
- Gain a thorough and up to date knowledge of vehicle types that the company deals with.
- Be aware and keep up to date with company trading terms and merchandising programs.
- Understand all technicians’ duties to be able to locate, target and action jobs.
- Answer all phone calls promptly and respond to inquiries effectively.

**About the Person**:

- Diesel technician experience.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- IT skills with Windows-based software.
- Good mechanical knowledge to enable issues to be discussed and dealt with accurately.
- Excellent communication skills to be able to build a rapport with both customers and staff.
- Professional telephone manner.
