- EngineeringOur client has rapidly become one of the key players in the energy market across Australia, and globally, leading in power generation and power transmission, delivering **large-scale solar farms, wind farms, substations, transmission lines, battery storage solutions, and pumped hydro**.

They are now entering the New Zealand market, and have opportunity for an experienced **Project Engineer** to take the lead on an exciting scope of projects in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty.

**THE ROLE**:
The position is responsible for scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing and managing all the technical activities, aiming to ensure project accuracy and quality, from conception to completion. Managing the engineering team which will be subcontracted by the company, providing all inputs and basic design of the project.

The Project Engineer is responsible for monitoring and supervising all activities in the engineering scope, which includes drawings, specifications, bills of quantities and designs in safety. As part of the engineering team, the Engineer provides specific support for tenders, operations and maintenance, commissioning and to the construction team.

**WHAT YOU'LL NEED**:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field of study
- 4+ years in project engineering, or project planning experience (scope, schedule, cost, quality)
- Excellent knowledge of design visualisations software such as AutoCAD
- Able to optimize design, resources, and time to improve the project milestones.
- Confident decision-making ability
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain design ideas and plans clearly.
