**Placement Broker**

**What can you expect?**

An exciting opportunity has become available for a** **Placement Broker** to join Marsh in Auckland. You will be responsible to train and guide the New Zealand E&B team in implementation of good practice and systems based on the UK practice, to ensure meet compliance and regulatory requirements during run-off period.

You will also monitor client servicing to ensure satisfying regulatory requirements and share experience of London Market, global equine and bloodstock placements and the equine industry with the New Zealand E&B team

- 37.5 hours per week (8:30AM-5PM)

**We will count on you to**:

- Act as lead placement strategist and negotiator on a mixture of Corporate and Commercial renewals across New Zealand and Fiji
- Develop renewal objectives and placement strategies in conjunction with the Client Executive and execute in accordance with client instructions.
- Negotiate coverage changes with underwriters to ensure the coverage specifications are correct and fit-for-purpose.
- Gather and structure insurance capacity in the most efficient manner to deliver cost-effective placement solutions.
- Analyse quotes from carriers and provide analysis to client-facing colleagues and/or clients to assist with developing placement solutions and renewals.
- Support the New Zealand business to reach goals and win new business through research and gathering market intelligence to assist the design, development, and marketing of new insurance and risk products.
- Build and maintain client and market relationships at appropriate levels to execute effectively on placement objectives.
- Contribute to the firm’s body of knowledge through active internal communication to keep abreast of changing risk and insurance market conditions.
- Contributes to client retention through effective risk solutions and excellence in service.
- Oversee day-to-day operation of the run-off of Marsh New Zealand’s Equine and Bloodstock (E&B) business.

**We would like you to have**:

- Placement Strategy and/or Broking Experience - Exceeds expectations of clients and colleagues through setting strategies and delivering to these within agreed timeframes.
- London Market Experience - Significant experience in executing wholesale, retail and binder placements within the London Market.
- Equine and Bloodstock Insurance - Sharing sector specific experience and knowledge with the local team and utilising existing relationships to navigate run-off period with stakeholders.
