We have an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer to join our team based in East Tamaki, Auckland.

**The role**

Reporting to the Process Safety Engineer, you will be in a support role for providing Process Safety and technical engineering competency for the WM Technical Services Division with responsibilities for providing input to sustaining Regulatory, Statutory, Non-Major Hazards Facility and Asset Lifecycle Management of site assets and associated systems. You will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and driving continuous process improvements across the wider TS Business Units. There will be travel to the regions in support of our managers.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you need to have proven experience as a Process Engineer with a focus on Process Safety. We need an experienced Process Engineer with a tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering and have had 7-10 years of practical experience in chemical process design and implement safety controls and measures to minimise the risks associated with process operations. You’ll also need to have good problem-solving skills, be able to think outside the square and have the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
