We are seeking a Head of Finance & Commercial to join the senior leadership team in support of the CEO, Board and Finance team. As a leading independent content producer, we are excited to bring on a talented individual who shares our commitment to quality storytelling and financial excellence.

With a legacy spanning nearly three decades, we are a prominent producer of original content. From factual documentaries to captivating dramas, we're known for our ability to tell compelling stories that resonate globally. Our extensive portfolio includes hit series in various genres, and we're expanding into new frontiers with scripted content.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Head of Finance & Commercial, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of our diverse projects. Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing budgets and expenditures for productions, ensuring effective administration and reporting.
- Forecasting cash flow and optimising funds for operational needs.
- Managing the work of Production Accountants, ensuring accuracy and financial compliance.
- Collaborating with project leads on financing plans and production funding agreements.
- Reviewing licensing and distribution agreements, invoicing sales, disbursements.
- Providing essential financial support to the CEO, including budget preparation and analysis.
- Maintaining relationships with banks, overseeing foreign exchange transactions.

Qualifications and Skills:
We're looking for a self-motivated, high-energy individual who brings a pretty special set of skills and qualities to the table, including:

- CA/CPA qualification, at least 5 years post-qualified with experience managing a small finance team.
- Understanding of project accounting.
- A keen interest in the production industry and relevant economy.
- Legal familiarity, contract agreements.
- Experience with international transactions and currencies.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Collaborative and team-oriented attitude, equally happy hands on working alongside your team and supporting senior stakeholders including the CEO and Australian based Group CFO.
