- A highly active, NZ owned, private development company is recruiting for a Development Manager to join their Auckland based team.
- The business is recognized as one of the country's leading and respected development companies and has a number of active developments in the Auckland region and across the North and South Island. They specialise in commercial, mixed-use, and medium to large scale residential developments and the primary focus of the role is to work alongside the Senior Development Manager to deliver two master planned developments in Auckland.
- There are further developments in the Auckland region that will also be coming online in the medium term that this position will be responsible for delivering as well as looking at new acquisitions across NZ.**Responsibilities**:

- Due Diligence, preparing feasibilities, financial analysis, master-planning and multi-stage delivery strategy.
- Manage the land development works from concept through to completion and title.
- Design and consultant engagement and management with an emphasis on civil and infrastructure.
- Obtaining council and COO consents, approvals, and titles.
- Internal and external stakeholder management.
- Financial and cost management.
- Tender management.
- Overseeing civil contract management.

Residential land development project experience is required for this role. You’ll need to point to previous project achievement/experience from due diligence, feasibility analysis, master planning, design, consenting through construction.
- As part of the role and being part of the development team, there will be an opportunity that you will be involved in vertical project work when required and as the role/person develops.**Other Requirements**:

- A degree qualification in property or related discipline.
- Previous or current experience as a Development Manager.
- A strong understanding of land development and subdivision process, with a focus on civil design and construction, consenting, and 224c process.
- Familiarity with masterplanning, design, construction, and contract standards, with the ability to optimise value and drive programmes to key milestones.
- Familiarity with sales and marketing for residential
- Tenacity and ability to identify solutions to complex problems.
- Strong time management, communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Be a highly self-motivated, confident individual with a great attitude and team player.
