**The role**:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for distribution projects based on design specifications and requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Review design drawings, technical documents, and project plans to identify materials, labour, and equipment requirements.
- Analyse project risks, constraints, and opportunities to provide cost-effective solutions.
- Utilize estimation software and tools to generate detailed project estimates and proposals.
- Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to ensure alignment between estimates and project execution.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to distribution network design and estimation.

**About you**
You will have at least 5 years experience in the electrical distribution industry and practical knowledge preferably with field experience in overhead and underground construction and design from 400 volts to 33000 volts. You’ll also have:
- An electrical qualification diploma level 6 and above (preferred)
- Practical knowledge and experience in working with Transformers, Ring Main units, Overhead gas switches, reclosers and regulators
- Previous design and pricing experience preferred
- Strong technical knowledge of distribution networks, equipment, and materials.
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Practical knowledge of engineering design standards, electricity legislation, and the ability to work within industry standards
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
