**Job Description**:
Our Environment and Energy (E+E) business provides engineering design and technical advisory services to a diverse range of clients across the power, resources, industrial, government and energy sectors.
As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will work on a range of projects in the energy and renewable power sector. Projects range from small scale power generation to large-scale projects from concept through to detailed design stages across various industries, including future fuels and renewable energy projects, power generation, biogas and wastewater.
As Principal Mechanical Engineer, your primary responsibilities will encompass the planning, managing and meticulous oversight of the technical delivery of projects, resources, budgets and timelines. You will also play a role in preparing and presenting client proposals, actively fostering and strengthening relationships with internal and external clients and suppliers. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers empowering them to grow and develop professionally.
**Qualifications**:
You will have a proven background in energy and industrial design and be able to demonstrate:
- A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, specifically in power generation, industrial process, wastewater/biogas and/or future fuels projects
- An established network and experience working with Energy and Industrial clients across New Zealand
- A proven track record of successful project delivery, including design management for detailed design projects
- Possession of Chartered Engineering status (CPEng) would be advantageous
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ensuring effective interaction with clients, colleagues and stakeholders
- Prior experience in construction supervision is preferable
