As a Product Manager, you’ll be part of the team managing Westpac’s Merchant Payments products. Day to day you’ll focus on the customer experience while managing the end-to-end aspects of delivery of products to market including strategic planning, business analysis, financial performance, pricing, risk management, governance, and stakeholder management.

We’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo, loves to take the lead and is comfortable working collaboratively in cross functional teams. You must be an excellent communicator and will ideally come from a background in financial services or payments.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Product Chapter here at Westpac. You’ll be working on the day-to-day management of the Merchant Payments portfolio, regularly finding insights and opportunities to improve the products, acquiring and retaining customers, product reviews, competitor analysis, pricing, product development and simplification.

- 2+ years’ previous experience in a product management role.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the banking or payments sector, preferably within Merchant Acquiring or card payments
- Strong communication and influencing skills and excellent written and verbal skills.
- Proven innovation management skills, with the ability to bring creative ideas of others to life.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing a P&L.
- A growth mindset with the ability to drive change through a large organisation.
- Developed stakeholder management skills to guide individuals to fast and effective outcomes.
