At the Hepatitis Foundation of NZ, we are dedicated to transforming public health by providing vital community-based services to individuals living with viral hepatitis. **About the Role**
The Chief Executive will have a proven track record of strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement, in an organisation focussed on delivering high quality services to their community. With responsibility for implementing strategy and all operational and financial functions, you will be leading a group of skilled professionals who are passionate about public health. Familiarity with Te Ao Maori and understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi principles are essential, as is your ability to demonstrate your commitment to cultural sensitivity and inclusivity.
As the Chief Executive, you will lead and implement the Hepatitis Foundation of NZ’s vision, strategy, and goals, in line with its purpose and values. Specifically, you will:
- lead transformation to ensure a sustainable and successful organisation;
- manage the Foundation’s financial and commercial requirements with a long-term focus;
- lead and mentor staff with an inspiring style;
- foster an inclusive culture;
- build and nurture relationships with diverse communities and stakeholders; and maintain a strong relationship with the Board.
**Skills and Experience**
You will be an inspiring and empowering leader who:is at senior-level, with a minimum of five years’ within a multi-disciplinary organisation
- has excellent communication and team management skills;
- has a relevant tertiary qualification and expertise in public health;
- has exceptional ability to forge relationships and work effectively with stakeholders and diverse communities.
- is comfortable with Te Ao Maori and understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi’s relevance to the health service position; and
- has proven leadership and management skills, including experience in leading transformation, staff development and performance management.
