Senior Advisor Operational Policy
- Permanent and fixed term for 12 months.

What we do

**Operational Policy is a unique team who work across MSD to**:

- support the policy design and development process to ensure best fit for our people and clients, and
- support the implementation and delivery of policies to ensure they align with policy and legislation.

We also provide advice on current policy and legislation, individual client cases, and are responsible for writing and maintaining MSD's operational policy guidelines (Map).

The Senior Advisor role

**As a Senior Advisor, you'll find yourself**:

- providing advice on current policy and legislation, including individual client cases
- working collaboratively to lead and support the design and development of new and existing policy and legislation
- supporting our Service Delivery colleagues to implement and deliver products and services in line with policy and legislation
- translating operational policy design into written guidelines (Map) for our people
- maintaining Map e.g. making sure it is consistent and coherent, identifying areas for improvement
- analysing policy initiatives from other sector agencies to understand how they impact or interact with MSD policies, and/or affect MSD clients
- providing support and mentorship to advisors; helping them to deliver high quality work and build their capability

Skills and attributes

**To be successful in the role you'll have**:

- strong research, analysis, and problem-solving skills
- experience in a client service delivery role or other relevant MSD role
- a high level of attention to detail
- excellent communication skills, especially written
- a high level of time and self-management skills with a strong ability to manage competing priorities, challenging deadlines, and adapt to change
- an exceptional ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
- a proven ability to support and mentor others

Position Description

**Salary range**: $99,546.00 - $120,778.00
