CADS is the largest provider of AOD services nationally, including an inpatient detoxification service. CADS AOTS provides services for the management of opioid dependency from a harm reduction philosophy, supporting people towards recovery from opioids and other drugs. The treatment programme is characterised by comprehensive assessment, individual dosing practices and a long-term treatment approach where required. Operationally, ongoing development in processes and use of technology to support service delivery improvements is also a focus.
We have a permanent, part-time pharmacist position available to work with our small but dynamic team of Addictions Pharmacists providing services for Community Alcohol and Drugs Services (CADS). This role includes working within a multidisciplinary team to provide dispensing, prescription transcribing, and clinical functions primarily to our opioid substitution treatment service and also the provision of liaison and training both internally and externally for community pharmacies and other relevant agencies.
Key requirements are an enthusiasm and interest in the addiction field, a desire to take advantage of the learning opportunities that this position offers and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. In addition you will be able to demonstrate the ability to work autonomously as a team member.

**Skills and experience required**:
Minimum
- New Zealand Registered Pharmacist with a current competency based practicing certificate
- Experience working as a registered pharmacist in either a hospital or retail environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in setting standards and managing practice to achieve these
- Clear problem solving approach, with ability to provide coaching and address performance issues
- Clean current drivers licence (manual and auto)
- At least basic computer skills

Preferred
- Experience working as a registered pharmacist in a substance misuse and or mental health setting.
- Advanced or Post-graduate qualification in Substance Misuse and or Clinical pharmacy or Mental Health Pharmacy
- Other relevant tertiary qualification
- Experience working in a secondary care clinical environment
